Synovus Bank

I came inside the branch to open up a joint account with my fiancé and my son needed to open an account as well. I teach financial literacy so I wanted to show my son how to open an account his self. I brought in my social security card card, passport , driver license, including a bill and tag registration. I have two residence at the time. I showed her both addresses. My fiancé had provided all identification. We open our accounts and was approved. I was approved and my fiancé was approved. We were so happy because we work hard to keep our credit paid and in good standing. I have never been treated so badly, All because I had a double residence the banker over seeing my banker said we were fraud! Are you serious. So they put a hard inquiry on my credit, defamation of my character. They sent an email saying we were fraud all over me have double address. Since then they have sent mail to both of my homes on file and I have received all mail. So how the heck am I fraud. This is not fair and the banker kept mentioning my fiancé was younger than me and it was weird. I won’t my credit card reopen! You guys are the ones committing fraud! You closed my account racially profiling me! I do not suggest any go through any financial financing with this company!

We opened a business account after having a terrible experience with Chase and Synovus has been awesome! Joy has been great in helping us get everything set up and continued support! The staff is very friendly and helpful!!

The only person I’ve dealt with at the Loganville branch is Debbie, and she is great. I love the ATM because it gives you a customized set of bills. If you want 20 ones and 10 fives you can get that. I’ve never had an ATM that does that before. My only complaint is the amount of time you have to wait for a deposit to clear. I don’t know if that is typical but it seems excessive.

I walked in and have had to sit for over 30 minutes no one said Hello. Multiple agents walked past didn’t say hello, or ask me to assist. The manager Jon was behind me in his office the entire time. When I asked him is there anyone else who could assist he looked as though I was bothering him. Not to mention I did close the account today. This is just ridiculous service. An hour to update my address. Please trust the reviews that people took time to write.

Must be under new management because I never had anything but excellent service when this bank was Athens First. We have had the same, checking and savings account for over thirty years, as well as, HELOCs. I can only imagine the amount of money we have paid for banking services. We have overdraft protection and our checking acct generally 4 digits. After Athens First became Synovus I went in to withdraw a fair amount of money and deposit a 12 dollar check I’d cashed for my son. The teller took the check to the back, returned and told me I couldn’t deposit it. I withdrew my money and then asked why the problem with the deposit. A woman appeared from the drive through area and told me I had forged the check in front of the teller, that was against the law and I could go to jail and they could get in trouble. I then pointed out that I endorsed the check in front of the teller using a blue pen, under my son’s endorsement, he’d used a black pen. They deposited the check, never apologized or said thank you for being a loyal customer. The teller never even smiled, just retorted, “I deposited the check.” Shocking and terrible service, Peachstate, you have new clients.
