Beware! 3rd party insurance verification & you must pay attention to staff. They send your information out of the office and have no ability to support costs for coverage. I cannot believe I have to leave this review. I made an appointment online as a new patient in June and filled all the required forms and insurance uploads out online. As a new patient i have dental anxiety and wanted to be sure everything was set, so I called ahead. The receptionist assured me we were all good. I arrived for my 830am appointment and checked into the kiosk. Easy! I was so excited for a simple dental experience. Unfortunately that was the end of the good. The team uses a 3rd party insurance verification company to find out my coverage amount. The front desk said they hadn't even built a patient profile for my provider and it would take days so I would not know how much I needed to pay vs my coverage amount. Very. Very. Odd. I winded up paying absolute full price out of pocket and they refunded me the difference based on my coverage the next day. Luckily I had almost $700 available. Most families would not be able to do that and shouldn't have to. Icing on the cake? While I'm getting my filling, the dental assistant tells the dentist they wrote down the wrong tooth to fill. What!?! My anxiety was thru the roof. I wouldn't recommend if you want a stress free or organized patient experience.
I recently had to have multiple cavities treated at once. It was very efficient, quick and the Dentist was highly skilled and precise. The team was very considerate and the finished work feels very good. Thrilled with my treatment acquity and experience. I go back for two more treatments of a different nature and feel I will certainly receive a great outcome.
I started going to Walton Family Dentistry in 2019 and in 2020 I started the process of replacing a bridge that I had for 20 years. Dr. Colbert was the resident Dentist then, and once the bridge was placed in my mouth it never was comfortable. And after many adjustments it eventually broke within one year and by that time she had resigned. I had another bridge made by Dr. Posse, which was uncomfortable and awkward from the beginning, after a few visits for adjustments I was told to come back in 6 months, but when I came back he too had moved on, and the bridge eventually came out. I was advised to remove the both teeth that supported the bridge and install a “flipper” which supposed to be temporary, but it’s terribly built. It gathers large pieces of food in my mouth and has deformed the way I speak and eat. Last September I was experiencing much pain and discomfort from the “flipper” and the new dentist refused to see me, he wanted me to see the dentist that extracted the teeth. I subsequently went back for a follow up visit so he could examine the “flipper” and they billed my insurance for my pain and suffering. So, after 5 years of trying to get a bridge replaced; one that lasted for 20 years (when we had less technology), I am stuck with an embarrassing and uncomfortable”flipper.” I am still hoping that I can get some legal recourse. The two stars that I gave are for two implants that Dr. Posse put in my mouth.
Even though my appt will not be at this facility, I just cannot fathom even bringing my daughter to a place where a simple phone call to schedule an appt felt like a burden. I spoke with Melissa trying to schedule an appt for my 4 year olds first appt and from the immediate moment she answered the phone it seemed as if she were bothered. Even as she was asking questions she spoke as if she were bothered and annoyed that I called. Just by that interaction from a simple phone call I do not think I will be bringing my daughter here. Please choose a more friendly person to take phone calls.
I was not happy with my experience this morning. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and I arrived 10–15 minutes early. By 8:16 a.m., I had to approach the receptionist to ask about the delay. Shortly after, I was called back without being greeted. The only instruction given was “follow me,” with no eye contact or acknowledgment until I said good morning first. I value professionalism and courtesy, especially when I make the effort to arrive early and be on time. A simple greeting and clear communication would have made a significant difference in my experience.
