Salon 124 Grayson

Never been to a salon before but after growing my hair out to almost be at my shoulders for the 1st time, I needed people who were used to working with longer hair. The only reviews I saw from other guys were one specifically for Elle so I booked a haircut appointment with Elle on a Saturday morning 2 days in advance . Washed my hair the morning of and went in with nothing but some inspiration photos, a dream and anxiety. Elle was nothing but professional, kind and especially patient from start to finish when I mentioned it was my first time going to a salon. Like the description for haircut services mentioned would happen, she asked me some questions about the kind of look I was going for and my hair routine. She also provided consultation on what looks would be possible and was honest with how closely I would be able to replicate some inspiration photos. After that she washed my hair, cut, styled and made some small talk along the way. Throughout the process, she made sure to ask at various points if I was okay with the different things she was doing and if I wanted to make any changes. From start of appointment to finish, it took about an hour and I always felt like Elle was trying to make the experience as comfortable as possible for me. I had some fears that I would feel embarrassed about not knowing much about my hair or hair terminology but after today I see that I had nothing to worry about. If you're a guy that was in a similar situation as I was, definitely try Salon 124 in Grayson and book an appointment with Elle. I certainly will be doing so again in a few months.

I’ve a never been satisfied with my cuts anywhere, but Lilliana was recommended to me and was the best stylist I could’ve asked for! She talked me through my hair type and what would be best for me and my needs, and went step by step ensuring it’s what I wanted. I got long layers and a beautiful blowout. We also had great conversation and it didn’t feel like we had just met! Everyone was friendly as soon as I walked in to when I left.

I was looking for a haircut, treat myself while off work. My usual stylist at another salon was off for spring break. I was once a regular at the Grayson 124 until we moved out of area. I booked on line with a stylist named Liz. ( I had called to confirm she was good with short textured hair that I prefer to wear straight/smooth) I arrived 10 mins b4 my appt and was told I was down for a later appt but they would check to see if Liz was available early and I was told she was. A young lady called me back and asked me about my hair. I told her it had been about 7 weeks since the last cut and I needed it shaped up that my hair was getting thick and top heavy. plus around my neckline. She asked me for pictures of the style I liked and I showed her one. she had also pulled up one while getting the shampoo/cut cape. Not sure what happed but she kept cutting shorter and then I asked if she was using a razor ( chair turned away from mirror) she said yes because my hair needed thinning and she preferred a razor over the scissors, I said I was told not to use a razor for my hair type. No comment. My hair is SO short I wasn't sure what to say or do. I just wanted to leave, The girl was very nice and polite. When I went to check out, she gave me her card and thanked me. I went to pay and her card said Lillian, not Liz. I was very confused and the girl said no that wasn't Liz that was Lillian. I said I had an appt with LIZ and the girl said no, that was Lillian. I am not sure what happened to my appointment with the girl I booked with, I unfortunately deleted my email and text b4 really looking at it and when I log in It shows my appointment was with Lillian. I am glad I am off work for the next week because I am SO upset with it. My husband who never says anything said it was very chopped up and way too short in the back. I even showed him the picture I had on my phone of the style I liked,

Always a good experience here. Today Sophia did my haircut and I loved the result. Added more body to my hair (:

First time ever getting a perm! My girlfriend comes here all the time so I know they can get me right! Thank you guys for your excellent service. Maycee was very professional and awesome! The whole staff made me feel welcome.
