This was my first visit to this doctor’s office, and I had a great experience from start to finish. Everyone in the office was extremely nice and welcoming. My wait time wasn’t long at all, which I really appreciated. Dr. ND was especially kind and had a great sense of humor, which made the visit feel comfortable and relaxed instead of stiff or boring. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and made sure I clearly understood the next steps after my visit. I’ve seen some reviews mentioning wait times, but even if there were a wait, I’d much rather wait a little longer knowing the doctor is genuinely spending time with patients instead of rushing them out the door. Overall, I felt heard, respected, and well cared for, and I’m glad I chose this office for my care.
I have Barrett's Esophagus and take medication to prevent its progression, which can lead to cancer. My automatic refill was denied. I was told by my pharmacist to inquire with my primary care doctor, and when I called, they told me that combining a medication I took last year with my Barrett's medication could be fatal, and my insurance blocked it. However, I had taken both meds for a year until I was weaned off for unrelated reasons. Only God covered me. My PC never called me to let me know. Had I not called, I still wouldn't have known. I explained I no longer take those meds, but needed a refill for Omeprazole ASAP for my Barrett's. They said they would notify my doctor. After two days, I called again and spoke to a representative who sounded exhausted and or disinterested. Nothing had been done. She promised to inform the doctor again. I questioned who would confirm that this was done, and she said the pharmacy. The next day, I called and spoke with the same representative, who again said she would notify the doctor. After much back and forth on hold, she finally said the doctor would refill it for me. I asked about their closing time—she said 1pm I told her I would call back at noon, and she assured me it would be filled. I was going to call anyway, but unfortuantely for me got held up at work and couldn't call in time. As I suspected, it’s nearly 2 pm with no update. This is the third time I’ve experienced this with this office—long wait times, inconsistent staff, and prescription delays. It's enough. I have only myself to blame. I should have left 2 years ago. I only receive any sort of assistance when I leave a bad review like this. Which is sad. If you only need annual physicals and auto refills, you'll be fine with them, but once service is needed outside the norm, these issues occur. -Derek G.
The staff is so friendly and Dr. Uzo is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but attentive and responsive to all of my questions. I’ve seen physicians who make you feel like a number in a queue, and Dr. Uzo shows warmth and genuine presence in her care. It feels like a true collaboration with a shared goal to get me the best health outcomes possible.
I've attempted to make an appointment at this office twice now, and each time there has been an issue. The first time, the young man I spoke with repeatedly asked me the same questions. I'm not sure if he couldn't hear me properly or if he just wasn't equipped to handle my request, but he sounded frustrated. Before I knew it, the call was disconnected, and I never received a callback. Today, I tried again, and after sharing my insurance details with the young lady, she confirmed that they work with Aetna. However, shortly after, the line was disconnected again, with no follow-up call. As a growing business, I know it takes time to work out the kinks, but don’t lose potential clients by not addressing these issues. I really wanted to support this practice, but at this point, it feels like I can't even get past the front desk on the phone. I hope things improve soon.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a “professional” office. Dr.Uzo listened to my concerns and did nothing. I waited two days for a simple non narcotic medication to help with my restless legs/muscle spasms that happen at night. She never called anything in and never called to give a follow up as to the reason why until I called two times to inquire. It was a total waste of time and I was already exhausted and irritable from having no relief for nearly a week. I’ll never go back there. I know what type of place that is and the patient is just a number to them not a person.
